ROOSTER BOOSTER
Three weeks prior to the gates of Worthy Farm opening for the much-awaited Glastonbury Festival, Designworks Windsor was tasked to design and construct the world’s first connected Wi-Fi Rooster.
Working alongside M&C Saatchi and Glastonbury’s official technology partner, EE, we developed The EE ‘Rooster Booster’ using FSC-certified plywood and reused ethernet cables. The rooster provided not only a vital boost of Wi-Fi for the festival-goers but essential reminders and information regarding upcoming artist sets.
Designworks’ workshop technicians and designers applied techniques that we had learned from previous projects such as Instaputt, working with constructing plywood in a unique way. This project was turned-around quickly then delivered and installed by our team to Glastonbury.
