BURBERRY
DIGITAL LIP AND NAIL BAR

 

Thanks to our success with the award-winning Clarks foot-gauge, Burberry sought Designworks’ assistance to help provide their consumers the chance to trial their range of lip and nail products in a way that was quick, clean and most of all, fun!

 As an accompaniment to their existing point of purchase displays, the digital lip and nail bar reacted in real-time as product was placed on it. Imagery on the integrated LCD display adapted to accommodate different selected skintones, and to accurately represent Burberry’s wide range of nail polish and lipstick colours, demonstrating countless different possible colour combinations.

Collaborating with Burberry’s existing POS material suppliers to ensure a perfect CMF integration in-store and creating a UI consistent with the brand, Designworks designed; built and programmed over fifty devices for deployment across the world. From their iconic flagship store in Covent Garden to airports in almost every time zone, customers were able to ‘test’ products without the usual limitations of time, mess and hygiene. 

 
 

 As seasonal colour palettes changed we were able to push software updates to the devices, and dispatch accordingly programmed RFID tags for the product to stores worldwide.

 Subsequent to the success of this digital lip and nail bar, Designworks went on to built point of sale tablet apps for a host of fine fragrance launches with Burberry on an ongoing basis.
